Emma Cooper is a gardener, writer, and ethnobotanist that I met on the Fediverse.
I sowed a few seeds, and they grew into a garden.
From a few pots on the patio, to raised beds filled with unusual edible plants, a 15ft diameter geodesic dome greenhouse, a mini orchard and a chicken run. It was the ‘alternative kitchen garden’, in which I grew edible and useful plants in an environmentally-friendly way.
I discovered a passion for plants, and planting, and found that I’m happiest when I’m getting my hands dirty. For more than 10 years, my garden was my playground, my laboratory and my sanctuary. It wasn’t always pretty, but it was my muse.
